Web FontFont User Guide →
The folks at FontFont have published a short 13-page booklet (eBooklet?) on web fonts (specifically Web FontFonts, but applicable for any) for developers, sysadmins, and users. For how short it is, it contains a huge amount of information. A must-read for people developing websites that use web fonts.  Link leads to the issuu version. Here is the PDF version.

Egypt Leaves the Internet - Renesys Blog →
Egypt has left the entire internet while civil unrest has broken out in the country. It’s assumed that the government is trying to block access to twitter and other social organizing websites in an attempt to stop something similar to what happened in Tunisia from happening.

Allow me to introduce one of my very favorite bands, Secret Mountains. View their (beautiful and simple) music video above and on vimeo, go to their website to buy their EPs and to find out when their shows are, fan them on FB. They just had a mega summer tour last summer, and I’m expecting even greater things to come! (Video alert: RSS readers, click through)

LTypI: Lack of Typographic Imagination →
Lack of Typographic Imagination is a Flickr group devoted to found signage or logos that choose the same font as the name; for instance (my favorite) using Rotis on a sign for a Rotisserie. Not ashamed to say I got a good laugh out of this group.

I Don’t Know Where I’m Going But I Want To Be There was a symposium put on by the Graphic Design Museum here in The Netherlands. I missed this because of the big snow fall and having to deal with airlines and such (I was supposed to be somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean by the time this symposium was going on, but alas I was not). Seeing this video really made me regret that I...
